Job Description

The Senior Technical Lead for Stormwater at Woodard Curran is responsible for developing, managing, and providing technical oversight for stormwater management projects, including design, planning, and regulatory compliance, while leading project teams and maintaining client and industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage stormwater management projects.
  • Provide technical oversight on stormwater best management practices design.
  • Evaluate, plan, and design stormwater solutions including treatment, infiltration, reuse, and conveyance.
  • Supervise project teams and oversee project execution to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and regulations related to stormwater management.
  • Represent the company in industry and professional organizations.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing stormwater solutions, including stormwater treatment, infiltration, and reuse, watershed management, stormwater conveyance, flood risk mitigation, and programmatic funding.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, managing, and providing technical oversight for stormwater management projects.
  • Ability to oversee and lead stormwater projects in the region, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively while adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Providing technical expertise on stormwater best management practices design.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Supervising project teams working on stormwater projects.
  • Preparing reports and proposals related to stormwater projects.
  • Staying current on emerging technologies and regulations relevant to stormwater management.
  • Representing the company in industry and professional organizations related to stormwater management.
  • Up to 20% travel time with clients in California and occasional travel within the US to support national practice strategic initiatives.
  • Possession of a relevant professional degree (implied, as the role is senior and requires technical expertise in stormwater management).
