About NextGen Energy Jobs
Who is behind NextGen Energy Jobs?
Hi! I'm Michael, and I built NextGen Energy Jobs. I started it for a simple reason: when I finished my studies in environmental engineering, I was looking for a job in renewable energy, and I couldn't find a good resource that listed only relevant jobs. At the time I had no idea how to code.
Over the years I learned to code, partly through my master's and partly on my own. In autumn 2024 I started building a job board for renewable energy. It has since grown into a board for the whole modern power system: data centers, the grid, nuclear, storage, power generation, and renewables, mainly in the US and Europe.
The site is a work in progress, and I keep adding features and improving it. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
I hope it helps you find your next job in energy and power.

Our Mission
Build the systems that power everything. NextGen Energy Jobs lists jobs that build, run, and supply the modern power system, collected from employer career sites and linked to the original posting, so engineers, technicians, and operators can find relevant work in one place.
Our Impact
By keeping the board focused on the power system, we aim to:
- Show only jobs connected to data centers, the grid, nuclear, storage, generation, and renewables
- Link every listing to the employer's own posting
- Publish salary only when the employer states it, and label estimates
- Explain our sources and limits on the methodology page
