Job Description
The role involves leading and managing a product design team to create user-friendly interfaces and experiences for Samsara's IoT platform, focusing on improving industrial efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction through innovative design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, grow, coach, and mentor a team of design managers
- Engage with customers to understand their operations and needs
- Ship high-quality designs based on customer insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define opportunities and deliver experiences
- Define and drive the product design strategy across product areas
- Create and refine tools, systems, and processes to improve team output
- Champion and embed company cultural principles within the team
Requirements
- Minimum of 4-6 years or more of product design management experience.
- Strong portfolio that showcases ability to lead teams that ship elegant solutions to complex problems.
- Track record of shipping step-changes to the user experience (UX) that drive customer and business impact.
- A history of hiring, growing, and retaining great talent.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners to ship high-quality experiences.
- Experience identifying and instituting changes that improve employee experiences.
- Expertise in providing feedback that accelerates career growth and improves product quality.

Annual Base Salary range: $235,600 - $294,500 USD
