The Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating wastewater treatment systems, performing laboratory tests, and maintaining plant equipment to ensure efficient and compliant wastewater processing at a state-of-the-art facility in Victorville, California.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant equipment to control influent and effluent flows
Assist with basic laboratory testing and sample collection
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
Learn and perform operational duties to ensure compliance and efficient plant operation
Requirements
Possess a Grade 2 State of California Wastewater Treatment License in order to operate independently at the wastewater treatment facility.
Possess a Grade 3 State of California Wastewater Treatment License in order to operate independently at the wastewater treatment facility.
Work under the direct or general supervision of the Lead Operator and Plant Manager.
Learn and perform a variety of operational duties to control the processing of wastewater and effluent, including regulating influent and effluent flows within the system and monitoring the operation of wastewater treatment plant equipment.
Assist with basic laboratory testing, sample collection, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in support of the wastewater treatment plant.
Work scheduled four 10-hour shifts from 6am to 4pm, Sunday through Wednesday, after onboarding and training.
Work rotating standby on call, including weekends, with a $200 stipend provided for on-call time.
Be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
