The Water Utility Technician performs routine maintenance, repairs, and operational tasks on sewer collection systems, water distribution systems, lift stations, and related infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient water and wastewater services.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of sewer collection systems, conveyance piping, lift stations, valves, fittings, and water distribution systems.
Operate equipment for the rehabilitation of manholes and maintenance of the collection system.
Respond to and resolve customer complaints related to water and sewer services.
Conduct inspections of sewer lines, manholes, and assist in the maintenance and operation of CCTV inspection systems.
Maintain accurate records, including data entry, daily readings, and inventory monitoring of parts and chemicals.
Assist in the location of utility lines and support asset management and maintenance programs.
Respond to emergency situations and perform repairs on distribution lines, sewer lines, manholes, and lift stations.
Requirements
High school diploma or educational equivalent.
Must possess a valid Florida driver s license.
Florida Class C Collection System license is preferred.
Requires the ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
Must have the ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees.
Must be willing to work schedules which may include weekend or holiday duty, carry a company provided telephone, and be willing to respond to emergencies at any time.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.

Compensation/salary range not specified
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
On-call incentives: $200 per week on rotation, minimum 2 hours paid per call out
