Job Description

The role involves leading enterprise sales and business development efforts with electric utilities, focusing on building relationships, managing key accounts, and closing deals to support the adoption of clean transportation solutions and grid modernization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop relationships with key utility accounts and stakeholders.
  • Identify, nurture, and convert leads among major utilities for new business opportunities.
  • Drive project scoping, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure with utility clients.
  • Support regulatory engagement and coordinate filings with public utility commissions.
  • Develop formal proposals, presentations, and sales tools to facilitate business development.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on sales processes, product development, and market strategies.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of full-time high-profile sales business development experience.
  • Successful track record of building partnerships with electric utilities OR selling enterprise software.
  • BA, BS, or equivalent experience required; Masters or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Candidates with experience in utility programs and a background in electrical engineering are encouraged to apply.
  • Must reside in the Western time zone with access to a well-connected airport.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and translate between various areas of expertise.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks in response to immediate needs.
  • Comfort with remote collaboration tools.
  • Travel required, when appropriate in accordance with health guidelines.
  • Demonstrated track record of empathy, individual initiative, a spirit of inquiry, and solutions-orientation.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale utility sales and contracting.
  • Domain expertise through industry experience in electric mobility and/or electric utilities.
