Job Description
This role involves leading full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical positions, advising hiring managers, and driving People Operations initiatives to support WeaveGrid's growth and energy transition mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for technical, product, and non-technical roles from intake to offer.
- Conduct behavioral interviews to assess skills, values alignment, and long-term potential.
- Build diverse candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing strategies.
- Advise hiring leaders and interview panels on best interviewing practices.
- Negotiate complex job offers, including equity discussions, to secure candidate acceptance.
- Serve as the primary contact for managers on personnel issues, providing coaching on performance and team dynamics.
- Design and implement retention programs and strategies in collaboration with the People team.
- Support performance review processes, ensuring actionable feedback and high standards.
- Mentor and coach HR team members to develop investigative judgment and HRBP skills.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience in a high-growth startup environment, with a heavy emphasis on full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles spanning all levels.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems such as Ashby, Greenhouse, or another ATS, including reliance on customized workflows and templates.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnering with colleagues to accelerate hiring timelines, source the best candidates, and bring top talent to WeaveGrid.
- Proven experience in HR Business Partner or People Operations roles, with understanding of employment law basics and performance management frameworks.
- Exceptional judgment in making high-stakes hiring decisions and the ability to articulate why a candidate is or isn’t a fit based on evidence.
- Genuine interest in the energy transition and the ability to speak fluently about WeaveGrid’s role in decarbonizing the grid.
- Self-starter and independent worker who can build processes as needed without requiring a detailed playbook.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range of $134,000 - $168,000 plus equity stock options
Work is based in San Francisco with at least three days per week in the office
