Job Description

This internship role involves developing and evaluating an image processing pipeline for lunar calibration to support satellite radiometric accuracy, along with creating web interfaces to monitor satellite health and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an image processing pipeline to stitch lunar observations into composite images.
  • Evaluate the stitched images against reference imagery and lunar calibration models.
  • Develop a web interface to display satellite health and performance metrics.
  • Create metrics to assess the performance of the lunar imagery processing pipeline.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Earth Planetary Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with scientific computing in Python within a Unix/Linux environment.
  • Experience conducting research projects and presenting findings.
  • A hands-on, collaborative mindset with effective interpersonal skills.
  • The position requires access to export-controlled information, and the candidate must be able to access all applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
