Job Description
An Energy Markets Analyst focused on the ERCOT market, responsible for data management, program coordination, and supporting market strategy and regulatory advocacy to help customers profit from energy market participation in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize data related to ERCOT energy markets
- Collaborate with Finance on revenue planning and financial reporting
- Engage with Regulatory Affairs to advocate for market changes
- Educate and support the Sales team on market operations
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to develop market- and customer-facing products
- Support the development of market strategy and regulatory advocacy efforts
- Participate in market-facing activities and stakeholder meetings
Requirements
- Experience working with the ERCOT energy market, including understanding of market operations and regulations.
- Ability to work remotely from anywhere within the US or Canada, with the capacity to participate in market-facing activities and hold meetings during continental US-based business hours.
- Authorization to work legally in the US or Canada; Voltus does not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires.
- Strong data management skills with an initial focus on optimizing data handling processes.
- Experience in program management related to energy markets or data handling.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Sales, Product, and Engineering.
- Willingness and ability to develop into roles involving market strategy development and regulatory advocacy.
- Excellent communication skills to educate and equip sales teams and to engage with stakeholders.
- Technical diligence combined with creativity in analyzing and developing market strategies.
- Commitment to working primarily from the employee’s home country, with travel to other countries only as approved per company policy.
