Job Description
The Corporate Counsel at Voltus will serve as an in-house technology attorney responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and partnership agreements, assessing risks, and ensuring legal compliance to support the company's mission of advancing distributed energy solutions and combating climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and partnership agreements
- Assess potential legal risks associated with agreements and business activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations applicable to the company's operations
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience as an in-house technology attorney
- Passionate about combating climate change
- Self-starter with laser-focused attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and partnership agreements
- Experience in assessing potential risks associated with commercial and partnership agreements
- Experience in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations applicable to technology and energy sectors
- Reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States
- At this time, the candidate must not require visa sponsorship or transfers for employment
- Authorized to work from their home location in the US or Canada, unless otherwise specified in the role description
- Ability to work primarily from their home country, with travel to other countries requiring approval as per the company's Global Remote Travel Policy
