Job Description
A hands-on Facilities Maintenance Lead responsible for ensuring the safety, organization, and smooth operation of a 4,000 m² renewable energy facility, including overseeing repairs, maintenance, equipment installation, and coordinating with contractors to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the facility remains safe, organized, and operationally efficient
- Lead and manage a small team responsible for maintenance tasks
- Perform basic repairs, small rig builds, and oversee clean room maintenance such as exhaust and AC systems
- Operate forklifts occasionally and handle minor plumbing and electrical work
- Oversee goods storage and assist with the installation of new equipment
- Coordinate with contractors and manage chemical disposal safely
- Provide hands-on support across the facility to maintain smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Experience in facilities maintenance or related practical tasks including basic repairs, small rig builds, and maintenance of clean room systems such as exhaust and air conditioning systems.
- Ability to operate a forklift on an occasional basis.
- Proficiency in minor plumbing and electrical work.
- Experience in overseeing goods storage and assisting with the installation of new equipment.
- Ability to coordinate with contractors and manage chemical disposal safely.
- Hands-on support across a 4,000 m² facility that includes a mechanical workshop, wet chemical lab, measurement lab, and clean room.
- Demonstrated proactive and hands-on approach to facility ownership and system improvements.
- Ability to lead a small team, including one direct report, and report to the VP of Technology Delivery.
- Physical capability to perform practical tasks and support site operations as required.
