Job Description
A Mechanical Engineer at SunDrive will develop, improve, and integrate solar cell production systems, focusing on mechanical design, automation, and testing to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and scalability in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and integrate solar cell production systems
- Drive mechanical design projects to enhance throughput, repeatability, and reliability
- Develop automation solutions to reduce manual handling in high-volume environments
- Validate designs through testing, data collection, and iteration
- Take designs through to fabrication
- Collaborate with process engineers, project managers, and equipment partners to commission new systems
- Resolve equipment challenges
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in developing, improving, and integrating mechanical systems, specifically in the context of solar cell production or similar high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to drive mechanical design projects that improve throughput, repeatability, and reliability of systems.
- Hands-on experience working with tools to validate designs through testing, data collection, and iteration.
- Experience taking mechanical designs through to fabrication and implementation.
- Ability to collaborate closely with process engineers, project managers, and equipment partners to commission new systems and resolve equipment challenges.
- Demonstrated experience in developing automation solutions that reduce manual handling in high-volume environments.
- Experience in testing and validating mechanical designs at scale to ensure performance and reliability.
