Job Description
The Field Manager in Australia will lead the installation, commissioning, and operation of Drone-in-a-Box hardware at solar farms, while developing local operational processes, sourcing pilots, and managing contractors to support the company's growth in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, commissioning, and operation of Drone-in-a-Box hardware at solar farms across Australia
- Develop and implement local operational processes to support regional growth
- Source pilots, hire contractors, and build a scalable operational network in the region
Requirements
- Experience in standing up field and drone operations at solar farms or similar renewable energy sites.
- Proven ability to install, commission, and operate Drone-in-a-Box hardware at solar farms across a large geographic area, specifically in Australia.
- Experience sourcing pilots, hiring contractors, and building scalable operational processes to support regional growth.
- Hands-on technical skills related to drone hardware installation, commissioning, and operation.
- Operationally minded leadership skills with the ability to develop and implement scalable processes.
- Strong aviation discipline and adherence to safety standards relevant to drone operations.
- Ability to serve as the primary architect of the local operational network for drone and field operations.
- Demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure transparency and effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
- Willingness to take complete ownership and accountability over role responsibilities and success.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on honesty and effective communication.
- Physical ability to perform hands-on technical tasks related to hardware installation and operation at multiple sites across Australia.
