Job Description

The role involves building and expanding the company's presence in the LATAM construction industry through proactive outreach, relationship-building, and refining sales strategies, with a focus on helping construction teams adopt innovative software solutions. It requires a high-energy, people-focused sales professional capable of opening doors, understanding regional market nuances, and contributing to the company's growth and impact in the construction technology sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage construction teams across LATAM to generate high-quality opportunities for Shape.
  • Refine outreach messaging, positioning, and strategies based on market insights specific to LATAM.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts and share feedback.
  • Build and develop relationships with industry players to shape market positioning and adoption of Shape's platform.
  • Build and refine outreach processes and systems to support scaling efforts and expand client base.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B sales SDR AE, ideally within SaaS or construction tech, with the ability to own conversations beyond just top-of-funnel.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with the ability to build trust and communicate clearly across different cultures and seniority levels.
  • Comfort and confidence in cold outreach, including cold calls, and a love for cold calling as a sales approach.
  • Ability to proactively identify and engage construction teams across LATAM, introducing them to Shape and generating high-quality opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of making complex ideas simple and compelling, and engaging with both hands-on construction teams and senior business leaders through a humanistic, empathetic approach.
  • Ownership mindset, unafraid of rejection, persistent, and willing to experiment with new ways to connect and add value.
  • Ability to read between the lines, spot opportunities, and adapt outreach strategies based on what is working, with a focus on opening doors and building relationships.
  • Experience in refining outreach messaging, positioning, and strategies specific to the LATAM market using insights from the market.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts and share feedback.
  • Impact-driven approach with the ability to build trust, influence, and persuade, and to support early-stage sales conversations.
  • Experience in building or scaling sales processes in new regions, contributing to the refinement of the SDR engine as the company expands.
  • Demonstrated ownership of sales activities and a proactive approach to developing the LATAM market.
  • Physical and mental resilience to handle the challenges of reaching busy construction professionals and hard-to-reach markets.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, sharing best practices and contributing to a world-class growth function.
  • Willingness to learn industry-specific language and concepts related to construction and digital project delivery, with the intention to develop expertise if not already possessed.
  • A track record of influencing and persuading within the construction or tech startup industries, with an extensive network being a plus.
  • Interest or experience in mentoring or coaching others as the team grows, with a focus on leadership development.
  • A desire to contribute to solving significant challenges in construction project delivery and to create long-term industry impact.
