This role involves leading construction project planning and site delivery for complex infrastructure and building projects, focusing on effective scheduling, logistics, and collaboration with contractors to ensure high standards of execution and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Own and optimize the project plan, ensuring it is buildable, coordinated, and aligned with site realities.
Mitigate delays through proactive delivery planning, constraint removal, and sequencing verification with contractors.
Develop and maintain high-quality, logic-driven construction programmes in collaboration with contractors.
Lead look-ahead planning, milestone pull planning sessions, and coordinate trades to ensure work is sequenced and deliverable.
Facilitate Last Planner System practices, including weekly work planning and constraint management.
Track delivery performance metrics, analyze variances, and implement improvements to plan reliability and productivity.
Develop and implement scalable planning and logistics solutions, tools, and approaches.
Coach and support project teams and contractors in planning best practices and delivery-focused thinking.
Requirements
A construction engineering background.
At least 2 years of experience on construction projects, including experience in project planning using both software tools and planning principles.
Decent Excel skills.
Strong interest in data related to construction planning and delivery.
Fluency in English.
Norwegian language skills that are native or professionally fluent are considered a strong advantage.
Proactive self-leadership and the ability to lead others by asking the right questions and challenging them.
Experience in making projects and organizations better by implementing scalable, repeatable solutions that have a significant positive impact.
