Job Description
The Development Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale AI data center and energy generation projects, ensuring successful development, financing, and transition to construction while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project management and operations during the development phase of large-scale energy and data center projects.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on budget and on schedule.
- Develop, track, and report on project plans, including design basis, schedule, costs, revenue, and risks.
- Drive the process to achieve Final Notice to Proceed (FNTP), including stage gates and transition to construction and finance teams.
- Manage project financing due-diligence efforts and evaluate site, design, technology, and procurement strategies.
- Oversee project budgets and schedules, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 7 years of professional work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of project management, project development, construction management, and or development operations experience in the data center or energy industries.
- Proven problem-solver with a track record of successfully getting projects to Final Notice to Proceed (FNTP).
- Familiar with data center and energy project development deliverables, including site control, permitting, water, fiber, and grid interconnection.
- Highly organized with attention to detail, ensuring all project deliverables remain on track.
- Able to both drive process across functions and remain agile as project changes arise.
- Best-in-class in managing the project budget, schedule, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with the day-to-day management of projects and demonstrated track record of successfully planning and managing projects from start to finish.
- Self-starter with proven ability to lead diverse project teams across a large pipeline of projects.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience and expertise with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, P6, and other budgeting and schedule software tools.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 30%.
