Job Description
The role involves leading the recruitment of senior software engineers at Samsara, building a high-performing, research-driven recruiting team, and partnering with engineering leaders to attract top technical talent in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing, research-driven software engineering recruiting team.
- Partner with VP engineering leaders to define and fulfill hiring needs for senior engineers.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve hiring quality, including role definition, screening, and evaluation.
- Design and manage talent mapping, outreach, and long-term relationship building with potential candidates.
- Implement and optimize sourcing tools, relationship management systems, and team skills in their use.
- Enhance talent brand and attraction strategies through targeted channels and communities.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in full-cycle technical recruiting, with deep focus on senior software engineering roles
- 4 years leading and developing recruiting teams
- Demonstrated success hiring exceptional engineers in complex, fast-moving environments
- Proven ability to influence VP engineering leaders through credibility, insight, and preparation
- Strong bar-setting and coaching skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams
- Experience building research-driven hiring strategies, long-term talent pipelines, and disciplined relationship management
