Job Description

The Renewals Account Executive for Samsara's Public Sector Mid-Market segment is responsible for managing high-value renewal accounts, negotiating renewal terms, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring long-term customer retention within the physical operations industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 35-55 high-value renewal accounts per quarter, securing favorable renewal terms and minimizing attrition.
  • Lead the full-cycle renewal process, including quoting, negotiations, and obtaining internal approvals to secure 36-month renewal deals.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce pipeline data, provide scenario forecasting, and identify risks and opportunities within the territory.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to identify expansion opportunities and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Proactively address churn, advocate for customer needs, and achieve retention and growth targets within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • 2 years of full-cycle closing or strategic renewals experience, specifically managing Mid-Market or Commercial accounts.
  • Proven track record of managing 1 million USD in quarterly quota with deal sizes above 100,000 USD.
  • Ability to manage multi-stakeholder save cycles and handle complex procurement legal requirements.
  • Expert proficiency in Salesforce and a disciplined approach to pipeline management.
