Job Description
This role involves selling Samsara's IoT solutions to mid-sized customers, managing the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, and building long-term relationships to help improve operational safety, efficiency, and sustainability across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Own customer engagements from prospecting to closing deals
- Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and qualify potential customers
- Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers to foster trust
- Learn and understand the businesses and industries of target customers
- Engage with multiple stakeholders, including executives and CXOs, during sales processes
- Manage complex sales involving POCs, multi-faceted pricing negotiations, and large deal sizes
- Collaborate with team members and embody company cultural principles
- Focus on customer success and building long-term relationships
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a closing sales role
- At least 1 year of experience in sales focused on new school, government, and/or public sector accounts
- Proven track record of consistent quota achievement
- Experience selling in the public sector mid-market space with medium to large deal sizes
- Experience with high-volume cold calling
- Demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to be collaborative with teammates and in the selling process
- Familiarity with SFDC (Salesforce.com)
- Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and understand their business needs
- Willingness to learn about businesses where prior knowledge is limited
- Ability to own customer engagements end-to-end, including prospecting, qualification, and closing
- Ability to focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, and adopt a Growth Mindset
- Ability to work remotely in the US and meet geographic or operational location requirements if applicable
