Job Description
The role involves leading hardware product operations, managing product launches, supply chain, and external manufacturing relationships to ensure successful deployment of Samsara's IoT hardware solutions, ultimately supporting the company's mission to improve physical operations across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hardware product launch team to ensure successful deployment of new hardware, focusing on cost, resilience, and supply chain enablement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Program Managers, Engineering, Product Design, and Ops Engineering to maintain schedules and facilitate ramp-up to mass production.
- Manage relationships with external joint development manufacturers (JDMs), including executive engagement and business management activities.
- Establish and maintain systems to ensure rigor in achieving cost, resilience, and sustainability goals.
- Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing team to support hardware operations and product launches.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in hardware sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing new product launches within an operations organization.
- Established people team management skills with emerging organizational leadership skills.
- Experience building long-term relationships with key customers, both internal and external, and guiding others to design and deliver solutions.
- Ability to plan strategy and roadmap for the next 1-2 years with relevant input and influence, create, and drive strategies beyond one's own team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate high-performing talent and engaged teams.
