Job Description

This role involves selling Samsara's IoT solutions to small to medium-sized customers, managing the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, and building long-term relationships to help improve operational safety, efficiency, and sustainability across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own customer engagements from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Generate sales pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound leads.
  • Target small to medium-sized accounts with 11-30 vehicles.
  • Handle high-volume transactional sales processes.
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers.
  • Learn and understand the businesses and industries of customers.
  • Achieve sales quotas and contribute to team goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a closing sales role
  • Proven track record of consistent quota achievement
  • Experience selling in the commercial space with small to medium deal sizes
  • Experience with high-volume cold calling
  • Experience in fast-paced, transactional sales environments
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to be collaborative with teammates and in the selling process
  • Familiarity with SFDC (Salesforce) or similar CRM tools
  • Ability to handle and own a transactional sales process with high volume demands
  • Target accounts with 11-30 vehicles
  • Experience owning customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to close
  • Ability to generate pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting and manage inbound leads
  • Willingness to learn about various industries such as waste management and food distribution
  • Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and earn their trust
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and able to maintain legal right to work in the specified work location if applicable
