A Project Manager at 1st Avenue Power oversees the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar projects, coordinating internal teams, external partners, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely, compliant, and technically excellent project execution from development to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage utility-scale solar projects from development through construction and final delivery.
Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and authorities to ensure project milestones are met.
Secure permits and ensure compliance with local regulations through AHJ engagement.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and status reports.
Oversee EPC bidding, contract compliance, change orders, and risk management.
Manage O&M contractors for company-owned projects.
Travel to project sites to coordinate with contractors, consultants, and partners.
Requirements
6 - 8 years managing utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects with a deep understanding of the solar development lifecycle through construction
Strong ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
Experience navigating AHJ permitting and entitlements, and strong understanding of solar construction processes and EPC contracts
Ability to communicate effectively among construction, technical, and non-technical personnel
Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in project management tools such as SmartSheet
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field
Willingness and ability to travel as needed to project sites, approximately 5-15% of the time
Experience managing internal teams, engineers, consultants, AHJs, EPCs, and O&M contractors throughout the project lifecycle from development to final delivery
