Job Description

The role involves leading and managing a high-performing team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic growth in data storage solutions, while aligning technical vision with sales objectives and fostering a strong company culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic outcomes and support sales efforts.
  • Develop and communicate the technical vision, ensuring alignment with go-to-market strategies.
  • Manage pipeline analysis, forecasting, and technical reporting to support sales growth.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers.
  • Align technical messaging and strategies across cross-functional teams and partner organizations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, partners, and industry networks.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote products and solutions.

Requirements

  • 15 years of experience in a field pre-sales position.
  • Experience leading a team with direct management responsibilities in a large geography.
  • Previous experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managing initiatives aimed at achieving 20% revenue growth.
  • Willingness to travel as needed on a regular basis.
  • Ability to interact with customers, partners, and prospects to understand their business challenges and engagement in pre-sales processes.
  • Understanding of the big picture, industry trends, and competition.
  • Effective communication skills to cascade communication and goals throughout teams and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues and enhancement requests from customers back to technical support, product management, and R&D.
  • Ability to analyze employee actions and take notice of shortcomings affecting productivity.
  • Adaptability to changes and ability to quickly make operational adjustments.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Active contributor in regional industry events, organizations, and thought leadership activities.
  • Strong ethics and personal integrity, treating people with respect at all times.
  • High degree of accountability and ownership.
  • Experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managing initiatives aimed at achieving 20% revenue growth.

Annual base salary range of $199,500 - $319,200 USD
