Job Description

The role involves leading and managing a high-performing team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic growth and technical success in the data storage industry, while aligning sales and technical strategies and fostering a strong company culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic outcomes and support sales efforts.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to grow revenue and ensure sustainable long-term growth.
  • Manage pipeline analysis, forecasting, and technical reporting to support sales objectives.
  • Hire, retain, and develop a high-performing team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers.
  • Align technical messaging and approach across cross-functional teams and partner organizations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, partners, and industry networks.
  • Promote company culture, values, and recognize team achievements.
  • Engage with customers, partners, and prospects to understand their technical challenges and support pre-sales activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums as a thought leader.
  • Act as an executive sponsor for large opportunities and support regional growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 15 years experience in a field Pre-sales position
  • Experience leading a team with direct management responsibilities in a large geography
  • Previous experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managed initiatives aimed at achieving 20% revenue growth
  • Willingness to travel as needed on a regular basis
  • Must have the ability to support and develop a high-performing team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers and SE Managers
  • Ability to set technical vision, develop top Systems Engineering talent, and align Pre-Sales strategy with company go-to-market priorities
  • Experience in engaging directly with sales and pre-sales leadership to strategize on team opportunities and ensure correct engagement on pre-sales activities
  • Ability to analyze and report on pipeline and forecast from a technical perspective
  • Experience in hiring, retaining, and leading a team, including conducting regular 1-1s, providing constructive feedback, and skills development
  • Ability to develop, improve, and maintain resources to meet and exceed sales goals while supporting customer and partner needs
  • Experience in building relationships and alignment with technical counterparts within regional Alliance and Channel partners
  • Ability to build and maintain a professional network within and outside the company
  • Strong communication skills to cascade goals and technical messages throughout teams and cross-functional groups
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues and enhancement requests from customers to technical support, product management, and R&D
  • Self-starter with high motivation and active contribution to regional opportunities and industry events
  • Strong ethics and personal integrity, treating people with respect at all times
  • High degree of accountability and ownership
  • Intellectual curiosity to understand customer business challenges, industry trends, and competition
  • Effective self-development in technical and leadership soft skills

Salary range: 177,100 - 311,500 USD annually
