An experienced Water Resources Engineer responsible for leading the design and delivery of stream, wetland, and stormwater restoration projects, working on technical planning, modeling, field assessments, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve environmental restoration goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical design and plan development for stream, wetland, and stormwater restoration projects
Review survey data and develop hydraulic and hydrologic models such as HEC-RAS and TR-55
Create grading plans using Civil 3D and coordinate with permitting specialists and project managers
Produce high-quality plan sets and perform QA/QC reviews
Support agency submittals and facilitate regulatory approval processes
Conduct site assessments and support QA/QC during construction to ensure plan implementation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver restoration projects
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or ecological engineering
PE license in the appropriate state
5 years of professional experience in restoration, stormwater, or site development
Advanced capability in stream, wetland, or stormwater management design, including feasibility studies, concept design, and restoration plans development
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, FlowMaster, TR-55, GIS, MicroStation
Strong understanding of stream geomorphology, hydraulics, sediment transport, and stormwater BMP design
Ability to communicate directly with clients and regulatory agencies
Comfort leading design work with minimal oversight and supporting QA QC in the field
Experience coordinating work within multi-disciplinary teams
