Job Description
The Restoration Supervisor II leads ecological restoration projects by managing field operations, ensuring safety and quality standards, mentoring technicians, and coordinating project tasks across multiple sites to restore ecosystems and protect natural resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute ecological restoration field operations across multiple sites
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and conduct safety meetings and inspections
- Monitor and maintain quality control of restoration tasks and site conditions
- Train, mentor, and develop restoration technicians and crew members
- Coordinate logistics, schedules, and resource allocation for projects
- Operate and oversee equipment used in restoration activities
- Communicate with project managers regarding progress, staffing, and project needs
- Complete safety reports, inspections, and contribute to environmental restoration documentation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 4 years of ecological restoration experience
- Valid Commercial Pesticide Applicator License in relevant categories
- S130 190 Prescribed Burn Certification as required by region
- Experience operating and training others on large trucks, trailers, UTVs, sprayers, skid steers, and more
- Proficiency with GPS mapping systems and restoration reporting tools
- Experience leading crews across multiple sites and task types
- Familiarity with project plans, specifications, QA/QC procedures, and contractor oversight
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and mapping takeoff software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions, and exposure to insects such as ticks and mosquitoes, and poisonous plants such as poison ivy
