A mid-level ecological restoration scientist responsible for supporting fieldwork, data collection, monitoring, and reporting to help restore and protect ecosystems across diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation, monitoring, and success of ecological restoration projects across diverse ecosystems.
Collect and manage field data using appropriate tools and protocols.
Contribute to project reporting, including drafting monitoring reports and analyzing data.
Assist in guiding junior team members and troubleshooting field equipment.
Evaluate site conditions, regulatory constraints, and feasibility for restoration activities.
Coordinate with design and regulatory teams to ensure project compliance and progress.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, geology, or a related natural physical science field
At least 2 years of experience in fieldwork, sampling, ecological monitoring, or related activities
Experience in collecting field data independently and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Experience in Wetland delineation and stream assessment
Experience with vegetation surveys
Comfortable evaluating site conditions and regulatory constraints
Familiarity with project task tracking and regulatory requirements
Proficiency in GPS and GIS tools
Skilled in data analysis and technical report writing
