The Finance Manager will oversee and optimize the financial aspects of global supply chain operations, including cost analysis, budgeting, and strategic financial planning to enhance operational efficiency and drive cost savings across manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead product cost optimization through quarterly standard cost setting and forecasting of COGS, PPV, inventory revaluation, and obsolescence risks.
Provide financial analysis and strategic guidance for global supply chain operational strategies, including buy decisions and capital investments.
Manage the end-to-end financial planning, including annual operating plans and quarterly reporting for the global supply chain organization.
Implement improvements to planning and reporting processes to enhance accuracy, standardization, and automation.
Apply cost accounting principles to manage inventory lifecycle, variance analysis, and cost control within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Own and execute FP A functions related to COGS, OPEX, and CAPEX to support strategic decision-making.
Utilize financial systems and tools to automate reporting, analyze data, and model financial scenarios.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders across supply chain, engineering, and finance to communicate complex financial insights and strategies.
Requirements
Proven expertise in core cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and managing the financial lifecycle of inventory COGS, Purchase Price Variance (PPV), and Excess Obsolescence (EO) within a global manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Practical experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including owning and executing critical FP&A functions such as managing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), operating expenditures (OPEX), and capital expenditures (CAPEX) to drive financial discipline and strategic decision-making.
Proficiency in leveraging large-scale financial planning, ERP, and business intelligence systems such as Anaplan, SAP, and Tableau to automate reporting, synthesize high-volume data, and model complex financial scenarios.
Exceptional ability to collaborate with and present complex financial insights to senior business partners including Supply Chain, Engineering, and Corporate FP&A across multiple global regions, translating detailed analysis into clear, actionable business strategies.
Experience managing the quarterly standard cost setting process, forecasting and reporting on key cost drivers like Purchase Price Variance (PPV), inventory revaluation, and Excess Obsolescence (EO) risks.
Ability to provide detailed financial ownership of Product Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and lead the quarterly standard cost setting process.
Experience advising on operational strategies such as last-time buy decisions, ensuring financial alignment across the Product Life Cycle with Engineering and Program Management, and managing financial oversight of high-dollar capital investments for global manufacturing.
Ability to manage and execute the end-to-end Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly financial reporting cycles for the Global Supply Chain organization, translating operational results into clear, executive-ready insights.
Strong understanding of cost accounting and operational finance principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and the financial management of inventory, COGS, PPV, and EO within a global manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Proven ability to own and execute critical FP&A functions, including managing COGS, operating expenditures (OPEX), and capital expenditures (CAPEX) to support strategic financial decision-making.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with and present complex financial insights to senior stakeholders across multiple regions, including Supply Chain, Engineering, and Corporate FP&A.
