Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic outcomes for customers.
Set technical vision and develop talent within the pre-sales team.
Collaborate with sales leadership to establish and track regional growth plans.
Engage with sales and pre-sales teams to strategize on opportunities and ensure effective pre-sales activities.
Analyze and report on pipeline, forecast, and technical sales metrics.
Hire, retain, and develop a high-performing team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers.
Align technical messaging and approach across cross-functional overlay teams and partners.
Build and maintain relationships within the organization and with external partners and industry networks.
Promote company culture, recognize outstanding behaviors, and foster team cohesion.
Act as an executive sponsor for larger opportunities and represent the company at industry events.
Requirements
15 years experience in a field Pre-sales position
Experience leading a team with direct management responsibilities in a large geography
Must have previous experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managed initiatives aimed at achieving 20% revenue growth
Willingness to travel as needed on a regular basis
Ability to interact with customers, partners, and prospects to understand their business challenges and engagement in pre-sales process
Understanding of the big picture, industry trends, and competition
Self Development in technical, leadership, and soft skills
Effective communication skills, including cascading communication and goals throughout teams
Ability to leverage the field management process to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between pre and post sales activities
Ability to understand and communicate technical issues and or enhancement requests from customers back to technical support, product management, and R&D
Ability to adapt and adjust to changes and quickly make operational adjustments as needed
Self-starter and highly motivated
Active contributor and executive sponsor in the region for larger opportunities
Participation in regional industry events, organizations, conferences, forums, and seminars as a thought leader
