The Compliance Investigator at Pure Storage is responsible for leading global investigations into ethics, fraud, and regulatory risks by analyzing complex data, conducting interviews, and producing reports to support corporate responsibility and risk mitigation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end compliance investigations related to ethics, fraud, and regulatory risks
Conduct fact-finding interviews with subjects and witnesses and review relevant documents
Perform forensic transactional analysis and utilize data analytics to detect anomalies and systemic risks
Synthesize investigation findings into clear reports for legal stakeholders to inform remediation and risk mitigation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve investigation tools and case management systems
Requirements
Proven experience in forensic accounting, internal investigations, or professional services such as Big Four with a sharp eye for identifying third-party risk and fraudulent patterns.
Exceptional ability to navigate large datasets and document sets, utilizing technology-enabled tools and advanced analysis to connect disparate facts into a cohesive narrative.
Expert written and verbal skills for summarizing complex findings to executive stakeholders, coupled with the professional maturity to handle highly sensitive, confidential information.
Strong foundational knowledge of financial records and business processes, allowing the candidate to identify anomalies in transactional data and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
Ability to own the intake, scoping, and execution of global compliance investigations to resolve potential ethics and regulatory risks with precision and speed.
Ability to conduct subject and witness interviews and deep-dive document reviews to reconstruct events and identify root causes of misconduct.
Ability to perform forensic transactional analysis and utilize data analytics to detect anomalies, trends, or systemic risks within global operations.
Ability to synthesize complex findings into clear, objective reports for Legal stakeholders that drive remediation, control improvements, and strategic risk mitigation.
Willingness to work from the Santa Clara, California office in an in-office environment, in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
