Job Description
This role involves leading sales efforts for pure storage enterprise solutions in Japan, focusing on customer engagement, business development, and achieving sales targets through strategic account management and technical solution expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and expand pure storage enterprise flash storage technology and data solutions in Japan.
- Build and maintain relationships with domestic customers to enhance their understanding of pure storage value.
- Achieve high customer satisfaction and establish the company's value through customer engagement.
- Lead a team to develop account plans, utilize internal resources, and acquire new customers.
- Drive and manage a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
- Engage with communication service providers, understand their business challenges, and leverage technology solutions to address them.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and opening new customer doors.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to build and deepen customer relationships.
- Manage territory proactively through planning, evaluation, and account management to maximize revenue and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners, lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, and promote team ownership.
- Achieve sales quotas and drive consistent business growth through new customer acquisition and business development.
- Ensure post-sales customer success and satisfaction.
Requirements
- The candidate must have a genuine enthusiasm for engagement with customers in the telecommunications connection industry and understand their business challenges.
- The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience as an account sales professional responsible for NTT Group or similar telecommunications clients.
- The candidate must possess leadership skills, creativity, and a challenger mindset.
- The candidate must be able to utilize customer insights and technology solutions to leverage Pure Storage's portfolio for continuous problem-solving.
- The candidate must have strong prospecting skills and be an enthusiastic hunter who consistently opens new customer doors and passionately promotes the benefits of Pure Storage solutions while seamlessly engaging with executive offices and data centers.
- The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, to build and deepen relationships over the long term.
- The candidate must be capable of performing evaluation, planning, and account planning to maximize revenue and efficiency, actively managing their territory.
- The candidate must promote teamwork and shared ownership within the company and with partners while leading complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- The candidate must have a proven track record of achieving quotas and driving consistent business growth through referenceable business.
- The candidate must be committed to post-sales customer success.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience focused on new logo acquisition or business development.
- The candidate must be proficient in both Japanese and English communication skills.
