Job Description
The Head of Engineering is responsible for leading the Japan Client Engineering team at Kraken, overseeing high-impact projects related to energy solutions, client migration, system localization, and functionality enhancement to support the company's mission of creating a sustainable and intelligent energy system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Japan Client Engineering team to deliver high-impact projects.
- Collaborate with Delivery, Product teams, and clients to ensure solutions meet regional needs.
- Respond to regulatory requirements and facilitate client migration to Kraken systems.
- Localize language and systems to support regional clients.
- Enhance core functionality based on client business needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams, with a focus on client engineering or similar roles, demonstrating the ability to oversee high-impact projects and ensure the team has necessary resources.
- Experience working closely with delivery teams, product teams, and clients to develop solutions that meet business needs, including responding to regulatory requirements and localizing language and systems.
- Ability to manage projects across the entire product line, prioritizing high-impact initiatives and ensuring effective project execution.
- Strong leadership skills to ensure the engineering team is working on the highest impact projects and has everything needed to complete their tasks.
- Experience in creating or managing solutions for energy retailers or in the energy sector, particularly related to renewable energy, smart grids, or energy systems, is preferred but not explicitly stated as mandatory.
