Job Description

The Fire Sprinkler Test Inspect Senior Lead Tech is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems and related equipment, ensuring compliance with safety codes, and providing professional communication and documentation. The role involves scheduled inspections, emergency response, and staying updated on technological advancements in fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and backflows according to NFPA codes
Record and report deficiencies of fire protection systems to SFS and customers
Communicate professionally with internal and external customers and offsite monitoring companies
Properly use and operate tools required for inspections
Plan, coordinate, and complete inspections on schedule
Maintain company vehicle and tools in good condition
Follow safety programs, policies, and procedures, and keep safety documentation accessible
Attend seminars to stay updated on technology, installation, and testing methods

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
NICET Level II certification in water-based systems and/or a state-required certification based on location.
Oregon Backflow Assembly Tester Certification or Oregon State Certification (preferred).
Valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Minimum of 5 years of experience inspecting fire protection systems.
Ability to understand and operate basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to record and report deficiencies of fire protection systems to SFS and Customers.
Must be able to communicate professionally with internal and external customers as well as offsite monitoring companies.
Must understand and follow SFS safety program, SDS book, Hazardous communication program, policies, and procedures, and know where all related safety documentation is at all times on each project.
Must be available to be in an on-call status as required by location to handle emergency service and inspection requests.
Must pass background check, DMV record check if applicable, and pre-employment drug screening if required following a signed offer.
