Job Description

This role involves leading strategic account development within the Data Center sector, focusing on building relationships, creating strategic plans, managing projects, and driving sales growth through cross-functional team leadership and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for assigned Data Center accounts to increase revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across management, procurement, operations, quality assurance, engineering, sales, and estimating departments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to support account growth, project transitions, and customer relationship management.
  • Organize and lead business reviews, monitor competitive activity, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop customer-specific roadmaps, insights, and plans based on customer culture, needs, and supply chain analysis.
  • Manage project specifications, bids, procurement, and implementation for assigned locations.
  • Create and present proposals and coordinate with divisional resources to support customer engagement.
  • Communicate price negotiations and integrate channel strategies with internal teams.
  • Utilize CRM and sales tools for customer planning, reporting, and opportunity tracking.
  • Represent the company at industry associations, distributor, and customer events, demonstrating technical product knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical discipline.
  • 5 years of proven success in Industrial Controls and Automation Sales required.
  • Experience with Data Center, systems design, components, construction, commissioning, or service required.
  • Experience in working with global and high-profile accounts preferred.
  • Proficiency in R3 BASE selling skills and the ability to build mutually beneficial customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated competence in establishing and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent networking, interpersonal, and influencing skills needed to communicate at all levels.
  • Successful history in achieving strategic and sales targets.
  • Experience managing sales through distribution channels is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel via airplane and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs (samples, demos, literature).
  • Must be able to travel overnight 35% or as required by customer location.
  • Some international travel required, valid passport needed.
  • Must comply with company dress code guidelines.
  • Must have regular and on-time attendance.
  • Must be able to demonstrate technical competence on all products and solutions within the area of focus.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that may require physical demands such as lifting 50 lbs and traveling.
