Job Description
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans for high-value customer accounts, building long-term relationships, and driving revenue growth while representing Phoenix Contact's products and solutions globally, often working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic account plans and measurable objectives for high-value customers
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and Phoenix Contact, advocating for customer needs
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional account teams to execute account strategies
- Drive financial performance and growth of assigned accounts
- Develop customer presentations, proposals, and promotional content tailored to accounts
- Communicate global and regional pricing strategies and coordinate channel partner activities
- Maintain strong technical and product knowledge to support account strategies
- Ensure timely completion of reports, documentation, and internal communications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to business process enhancements
Requirements
- Minimum of three years Sales experience or Industry experience
- 3-5 years successful professional experience in developing relationships
- Practical experience with implementing and facilitating business deals operationally
- Proficiency in German language preferred
- BS or equivalent industry experience
- Must be able to travel by airplane
- Must have a valid driver s license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. (sample, demos, literature)
- Must be able to travel overnight, 50% or more of the time
- Comply with company dress code guidelines
- Punctuality in all aspects is required
- Timely submittal of expense reports, monthly account reports, visit reports, and business reviews
- Attendance in accordance with company policies and participation in local, regional, and international meetings
- Regular and on-time attendance
