An embedded systems engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining real-time embedded software and firmware solutions, collaborating with global teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance embedded platforms across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement embedded software in C/C++ for real-time systems
Develop detailed design documentation and contribute to system requirement specifications
Support system architecture activities and contribute to technology conceptualization
Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities within embedded applications
Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing embedded products
Collaborate with global and local engineering teams to align system development
Participate in research and development initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies
Requirements
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and create innovative solutions in embedded systems development.
Experience developing applications for embedded Linux in C or C++.
Experience with industry best practices in embedded development and quality assurance.
Proven experience developing embedded software in C or C++ for real-time systems.
Knowledge of web and cloud technologies.
Source level knowledge of Ethernet based and industrial communication protocols.
Knowledge or experience with VHDL or Verilog for FPGA design.
Experience developing embedded systems for high reliability applications in industries such as Industrial, Automotive, Medical, Defense, etc.
At least 3 years of experience leading new technology development and working within cross-functional groups to successfully bring products to market.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Eligible to receive a US passport.
Ability to travel by air as required.
Ability to sit for extended periods and ride in a car for up to 6 hours.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
