Job Description
The Associate, Development at OneEnergy is an entry-level role focused on supporting the development of solar and battery energy storage projects through project coordination, research, stakeholder communication, and site analysis to ensure project viability and successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze project schedules, scopes of work, and budgets; provide recommendations to ensure project viability
- Coordinate meetings, document decisions, and communicate project progress to team members and stakeholders
- Research and obtain critical project or market information related to permits, land records, codes, and industry studies
- Conduct site analysis, identify constraints, and support obstacle resolution and risk tracking
- Support preparation and review of interconnection documents, utility coordination, and permit applications
- Participate in outreach to authorities having jurisdiction and community engagement activities
- Assist in managing project expenses and coordinate with external consultants to ensure timely deliverables
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working in a professional environment, including internships and part-time work.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as energy, real estate, sustainability, policy, communications, or equivalent experience.
- High degree of organization and time-management skills.
- Experience in PC computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and Windows.
- Demonstrated interest in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
- Experience in providing efficient, timely, and reliable support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and self-starter, with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- High levels of integrity and personal accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to manage competing priorities often across functional and operational lines.
- Must have a roll-up-your-sleeves and let’s-get-the-job-done-right attitude.
- Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and professional responsibility.
- Willingness to contribute to a culture that builds trust and holds one another accountable.
- Ability to travel and access sites of varying terrain, with frequent travel up to 1-2 weeks per month or about 20% of working time.
- Must carry an active driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
