Job Description
The FinOps Analyst at Octopus Energy will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud spending on AWS and SaaS platforms, providing tools and insights to enable data-driven financial decisions, and collaborating with various teams to improve cost efficiency and visibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize AWS and SaaS cloud spend to maximize value from vendors
- Build and scale cloud cost management capabilities within the organization
- Provide tooling, education, and operational frameworks for stakeholders to take ownership of their costs
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization to improve financial visibility and drive smarter cloud spending
Requirements
- Experience in managing and optimizing AWS and SaaS spend to ensure maximum value from vendors
- Ability to build and scale cloud cost management capabilities from the ground up
- Providing tooling, education, and operational framework to enable stakeholders to take ownership of their costs and make informed, data-driven decisions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Data, Security, and TechOps to drive smarter cloud spending and improve overall financial visibility
