Job Description
A Commercial Operations Risk Manager is responsible for ensuring the company's products are customer-centric, processes are efficient, and growth is sustainable by managing regulatory compliance and translating financial rules for cross-functional teams within a fast-growing electric vehicle leasing startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure products are customer-centric and processes are efficient to support sustainable growth.
- Act as a bridge between growth objectives and regulatory requirements as an FCA regulated business.
- Translate regulatory rules and requirements to teams in Sales, Product, and Operations to help them build compliant and better products.
Requirements
- Experience in managing or overseeing commercial operations risk within a regulated financial services environment, with a clear understanding of FCA regulations and responsibilities.
- Ability to act as a key operator ensuring products are customer-centric, processes are efficient, and growth is sustainable, with a focus on translating regulatory rules into practical guidance for teams.
- Strong understanding of financial services regulations and the ability to communicate the 'why' behind the rules to teams such as Sales, Product, and Operations who are experts in their fields but often new to Financial Services.
- Proven experience in developing or maintaining risk management frameworks related to commercial operations in a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with FCA regulations and regulatory responsibilities relevant to consumer leasing or similar financial products.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively translate regulatory requirements into operational practices and product development guidance.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to build better products that meet regulatory standards and customer needs.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced start-up environment with a focus on sustainable growth and regulatory compliance.
