Job Description

A sales role focused on acquiring new mid-sized customers for Samsara's IoT platform, involving end-to-end customer engagement, complex deal cycles, and building long-term relationships to help improve physical operations across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire new customers through outbound prospecting and strategic account mapping
  • Manage customer engagements from prospecting and qualification to closing sales
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate deal progression and remove blockers

Requirements

  • Minimum of 24 months experience in a full-cycle, outbound-heavy SaaS closing role.
  • Previous experience in a pure hunter role focused on 80-90 net-new logo acquisition.
  • Proven track record of consistent quota over-achievement.
  • Experience handling complex mid-large deal cycles.
  • Ability to work on strategic account mapping and outbound prospecting.
  • Experience owning customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to close.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and curious by nature.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
  • Experience with MEDDIC sales methodology.
  • Demonstrated success in a sales environment that involves technical POCs, multiple stakeholders, and multi-faceted pricing negotiations.
  • Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and earn their trust.
  • Strong focus on customer success, building for the long term, and adopting a growth mindset.
  • Willingness to put in the work required to learn about businesses where prior knowledge is limited.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional stakeholders to remove deal blockers.
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom (if applicable to the candidate's location).
