Job Description
A Data Scientist focusing on Energy Systems Modelling will research, develop, and deploy complex models of global energy systems to support sustainable, resilient, and fair energy solutions, working on projects like energy grid modeling and low-carbon technology adoption prediction within a pioneering climate-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, prototype, develop, and deploy complex energy systems models
- Work on data projects such as predicting household ownership of low-carbon technologies
- Build models of the energy grid to analyze the impact of energy flexibility on fossil fuel generation
Requirements
- A Data Scientist with a focus on Energy Systems Modelling to join the Data Modelling team.
- Experience in research, prototyping, development, and deployment of complex energy systems models.
- Ability to work on data projects related to energy systems, such as predicting household ownership of low-carbon technologies (e.g., electric vehicles, heat pumps) and building models of energy grids to analyze the impact of energy flexibility on fossil fuel generation.
