Job Description
The Senior Meter Specialist is a key engineering team member responsible for defining design standards, leading cross-department projects, conducting energy analysis, and providing technical expertise related to submetering systems in multifamily and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Define design standards and best practices for metering systems
- Lead cross-functional integration projects across departments and subsidiaries
- Conduct energy analysis of multiple commodities
- Provide technical expertise and support to the engineering team
Requirements
- Proven experience in defining design standards and best practices related to metering, electrical systems, or similar technical fields.
- Experience leading cross-functional integration projects across departments or subsidiaries within a technical or engineering environment.
- Ability to conduct energy analysis of multiple commodities, including electricity, water, gas, and thermal energy.
- Deep technical expertise in metering systems, electrical engineering, or related areas relevant to submetering and utility measurement.
- Strong support skills for a centralized technical services group, providing technical expertise across various business groups.
- Excellent communication skills to support collaboration across departments and lead technical projects.
- Ability to perform ad-hoc technical tasks as required by the position.
- Educational background with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience working with design standards and best practices in utility metering or similar technical systems.
- Experience in energy analysis or utility data analysis for multiple commodities.
- Physical ability to support installation, maintenance, or inspection activities related to metering equipment (if applicable).
