Job Description
A Cloud Engineer responsible for managing and optimizing Metergy's cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Azure, Databricks, resource provisioning, and infrastructure as code to drive innovation and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure and services
- Provision and configure cloud resources using infrastructure as code
- Monitor and ensure the performance and security of Azure cloud services
- Oversee cloud operations to drive innovation and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a strong background in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, specifically focusing on Azure cloud services.
- Experience with resource provisioning and infrastructure as code (IaC) in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including overseeing and managing all aspects of Azure cloud performance.
- Experience working with Databricks or similar big data and analytics platforms integrated with cloud services.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and improve efficiency in cloud operations.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or similar certifications) are preferred.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, or similar) for resource provisioning and management.
- Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
- Physical ability to perform job duties as required (if specified, though not explicitly detailed in the posting).
