Job Description
The Meter Specialist is responsible for defining design standards, leading cross-functional projects, conducting energy analysis of multiple commodities, and performing technical tasks as part of the Field Engineering team at Metergy Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define design standards and best practices for metering systems
- Lead cross-functional integration projects across departments and locations
- Conduct energy analysis of multiple commodities
- Perform technical tasks related to metering and energy management
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrate experience in defining design standards and best practices within the field.
- Have experience leading cross-functional integration projects across multiple departments and office locations.
- Be capable of conducting energy analysis of multiple commodities, including electricity, water, gas, and thermal energy.
- Possess technical skills necessary to perform ad-hoc technical tasks related to metering and energy analysis.
- Have a strong understanding of submetering systems and their application in multi-residential and commercial buildings.
- Possess relevant educational background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Be able to work in a field engineering environment, which may include physical demands associated with installing and maintaining meters.
- Be committed to adhering to safety standards and best practices in technical and field work.
- Be able to communicate effectively with team members and cross-departmental stakeholders regarding technical standards and project requirements.
