Job Description
The Director of Strategic Initiatives for Loft in EMEA is responsible for developing and executing transformative partnerships across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in the space and Earth observation sectors, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive long-term growth and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, structure, and execute high-impact strategic partnerships across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and external partners to develop long-term collaborations with space primes, government agencies, and commercial entities.
- Establish and manage partnerships with space primes, ministries, space agencies, satellite operators, and service providers to support national and regional programs.
- Secure large-scale distribution agreements to expand market access and customer base.
- Support corporate development initiatives, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and investment opportunities in space and government sectors.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of the space and Earth observation value chain spanning space primes, satellite operators, and government agencies.
- Ability to identify, structure, and execute high-impact collaborations and strategic partnerships.
- Experience working directly with senior leadership from major partners, primes, technology companies, and government stakeholders.
- Proven track record of being a trusted architect of critical partnerships that generate substantial near-term revenue and establish recurring, sustainable streams for years to come.
- Experience in partnering with major European and international space primes to embed infrastructure into multi-year programs and national initiatives.
- Experience structuring partnerships with ministries, space agencies, and sovereign customers to deliver capabilities that meet long-term country strategies.
- Experience securing large-scale distribution partnerships with satellite operators, service providers, or integrators to broaden market access.
- Supporting existing joint venture efforts and occasionally supporting M&A, venture, and investment-driven initiatives in space and other government-driven sectors.
- Strong English communication skills to collaborate effectively, convey complex ideas, and communicate important messages.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work as a team-oriented collaborator.
