The Project Manager, Asset Management will oversee the performance, optimization, and financial reporting of utility-scale solar and energy storage assets, ensuring operational efficiency, market revenue opportunities, and compliance through technical analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and optimize the performance of utility-scale solar PV and energy storage assets.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with storage and PV system components.
Analyze operational data to identify underperformance and collaborate with maintenance providers to resolve issues.
Develop models to assess lifecycle costs and profitability of storage assets.
Oversee market data analysis to optimize revenue streams and dispatch strategies.
Manage PV plant performance metrics and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Develop performance dashboards and prepare financial and operational reports for stakeholders.
Support contract management, warranty claims, and ensure vendor compliance.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for operational expenses and capital projects.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors and market operators, on asset performance and project opportunities.
Requirements
4 to 6 years of experience in utility-scale solar PV generation and energy storage or energy market analytics with a dispatchable asset focus.
Strong understanding of PV system design, tracking systems, bifacial module performance, energy storage technologies, market dynamics, and dispatch optimization strategies.
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, Excel, and Power BI.
Experience with PV monitoring platforms such as AlsoEnergy, Power Factors, and solar modeling tools.
Familiarity with energy storage control platforms, such as battery management systems or SCADA.
Experience with project documents and contracts pertaining to utility-scale PV and BESS plants, including EPC warranties, Performance Guarantees, and long-term land leases.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, energy systems, or a related field.
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
