Job Description
The role involves leading the development of network diagram visualization features within a GIS platform, focusing on scalable, accurate, and maintainable solutions for critical infrastructure modeling, while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and mentoring engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Network Diagram features within the GIS platform
- Translate customer and internal needs into technical requirements and solutions
- Design and optimize algorithms related to geometry and graph theory for large network datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, GIS experts, and UX/UI partners
- Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and handling edge cases
- Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices
Requirements
- 8 years software development experience with demonstrated technical leadership
- Expertise in C, C++, STL, C++17, Boost, and strong computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- Applied mathematics skills including geometry, graph theory, and performance-focused problem solving
- Experience with testing, unit testing, performance testing, working with large codebases, and Agile Scrum methodology
- Working knowledge of relational databases
- Fluent English communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
