Job Description

The Account Manager at Esri is responsible for managing and growing customer accounts by leveraging geospatial technology solutions, building relationships, understanding client needs, and driving sales within the federal government sector, with a focus on innovative technologies such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute account management and sales processes for all opportunities.
  • Use visual storytelling techniques to propose solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Identify key stakeholders and understand customer budgeting and acquisition processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and develop location strategies.
  • Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities for new and existing customers.
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology and stay informed on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and execute account strategies.
  • Support and support visual storytelling through presentations and negotiations.

Requirements

  • Five years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience
  • Three years of experience working in or supporting the federal government public sector
  • Experience creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers
  • Understanding and execution of the sales process, account management, account planning and opportunity strategy creation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise systems and new technology trends, and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers
  • Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an agency
  • Ability to travel domestically 25-50%
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, GIS, environmental earth, social and or health science, or a related field

Compensation/salary range: $104,000 - $187,200 USD
