Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising customers on complex business challenges using Esri's GIS technology, demonstrating solutions, and supporting sales strategies within the electric, gas, or telecommunications industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on complex GIS solutions and demonstrate the value of Esri technology.
- Build relationships with clients and support sales strategies through presentations and demonstrations.
- Become a subject matter expert in electric, gas, or telecommunications industries and ArcGIS technology.
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer challenges and align with their business needs.
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- At least 1 year of experience in electric, gas, and/or telecommunications industries
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
