Job Description
The Senior Accountant in the Financial Reporting department is responsible for ensuring high-quality external and internal financial reporting, interpreting technical accounting guidance, optimizing processes, conducting analytical reviews, and maintaining SOX compliance, while collaborating with various internal teams and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of external and internal financial reports.
- Interpret and apply technical accounting guidance for financing, equity, and non-routine transactions.
- Engage in process optimization and analytical review of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and requirements.
- Collaborate with controllership, finance, treasury, legal, property management, and other internal teams.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a related role.
- Experience in interpreting technical accounting guidance for financing, equity, and non-routine transactions.
- Proficiency in process optimization, analytical review, and SOX compliance.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate regularly with personnel within controllership, finance, treasury, legal, property management, and other organizational groups.
- Experience working with internal and external auditors in a front-facing role.
