Job Description
The internship offers an opportunity to work closely with senior staff at a leading economic consulting firm, conducting data analysis, building economic models, and supporting expert reports across various industries, with a focus on competition policy and regulation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analyses and collect evidence from data and research to support expert opinions and business recommendations
- Perform regression analyses using statistical analysis programs such as Stata, Python, or R, including large data projects with cloud computing
- Build economic models tailored to specific issues to support expert opinions and recommendations
- Assist in developing and presenting client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers
- Communicate complex economic concepts clearly to internal teams
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of analyses and opinions
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD candidates studying economics with a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialisation in industrial economics and/or econometrics
- Fluency in English; other language skills are considered an asset
- High degree of numeracy, ability to analyse data, and familiarity with econometric techniques
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities
- Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills
